Anyone have any remedies for a sick baby?

So...took Izzy to the doctor Monday night for what appeared to be a nasty eye infection and fever. She's had a cold since Sunday, and I'm sure they're all related somehow, but the doctor said she had a fever of 102 degrees, an eye infection, ear infection...and she has the runny nose and cough. He prescribed an antibiotic and told us to give her 1 tsp of Tylenol every 4 hours (isn't that a lot for a 9 month old baby???). She continues to have a fever. Today it ranged from 100.6 - 101.2. Any advice on how to bring a fever down for a baby besides Tylenol??? I'm still new at this.

She's Crawling!!

Ok...so it's more of a ssssllllooooowwwww ARMY crawl. But she can actually get from here to there. She's been very content so far to just roll to the objects she wants or to just have things handed to her. She's getting so big - looking at Lauri's new baby, Mya, it's hard for me to remember that Izzy was once that little. She is so funny at this stage. She makes these monster noises (or so we call them) and growls for the fun of it. She loves to clap, have her daddy toss her (very lightly) into the lovesac which leaves her cackling hysterically, and she loves to give slobbery wet kisses which I absolutely love. Lately Brad and I have had fun watching her fall asleep. She is absolutely wired for a bit after I give her the last bottle of the night, I turn the lights out, and she plays this sort of game in her crib with her doll(It's more like attack of the doll) where she's violently waving the doll all over the place and giggling. She also scoots around in her crib to the video monitor and knocks it off the edge of the crib and onto the floor (I know, why we put it there I don't know). After awhile she just zonks out. So...as you can tell, I just can't get enough of her.

For lack of a Christmas letter: Our Year in Review

2008 had it's ups and downs as any year does, and now that it's come to a close, I'm excited to see what 2009 has in store for us (hopefully all good). Brad: In 2008 Brad remodeled a room in our house with the help from family and close friend, to make way for Izzy's arrival. It is by far my favorite room in the house and I love to just sit in there. Brad also went from Managing Napa (slave hour job) to working 6-3 as Lowes Commercial Sales Specialist. The hours allowed him to go back to school where he took a full load of classes at night. Robin: After finishing up Spring semester at the UofU 9 months pregnant, I was ready to have our baby. Soon after returning to work I accepted a job at a corporate firm downtown called Stoel Rives, where I have enjoyed working in labor and employment litigation and now the commercial litigation trial group. Izzy: We were so blessed that everything went well during Isabel's delivery and that she was born healthy and strong. Izzy has been our whole world since she was born. She brings so much happiness and laughter into our home with her humorous personality. Nothing is better than a big wet kiss from our girl, and she constantly amazes us with new things she can do. She recently got in her bottom teeth, is on her hands and knees (but not going anywhere), and can sign "milk" though only when she's drinking her bottle. Some of her favorite things are her paci/binkie, baby doll, elmo, being thrown in the air by her daddy and watching her Baby Signing Time DVD. With all her new presents I'm sure that will all change. We want to thank everyone who has been SUCH a support to us this year. When it was time to go to work at the new job, Brad's mom, his sister Lauri, my sister Jenny, and sis-in-law Candice all offered to take a day or two to watch Izzy during the week. What an amazing and humbling experience that has been for us. We feel SO blessed that Izzy can be with family during the day and play with her cousins. She has developed in so many ways over the months and I know it is with the help of those family members that she has been able to do so. It has also given me peace of mind knowing that she is with wonderful family members that I can completely trust so that I can put focus my full attention and concentration at work. Our new jobs for Brad and I were such blessings. I'm making almost double from what I was making at my prior job and have better benefits and work in a better environment. Brad has the opportunity now to go to school, do side projects and see Izzy (which he NEVER would have been able to at NAPA). We also got a new car in 2008 after Izzy was born to our relief because we really didn't have much confidence in the Honda and did not like the idea of driving Izzy around in it. We have truly had some blessings in disguise this year which has strengthened us as a family. Our family has been very supportive and helpful so much this year which makes 2008 quite memorable. Thanks so much again. We Love You!!!
